Join our crochet program where Seniors come together to create baby octopuses for newborns in our community. This program is perfect for those with intermediate or advanced crochet skills.
Friendly Gatherings: Meet every other Saturday from 3 PM to 5 PM at the library's community room.
Guidance and Support: Our experienced Staff member will help you with patterns, techniques, and any questions you might have.
Materials Provided: We supply all the yarn and crochet hooks you'll need.
Make a Difference: Your handmade blankets or octopuses will be donated to local hospitals and shelters, bringing warmth and comfort to newborns.

The Chickasaw Branch is the newest addition to the Orange County Library System. It is located in east Orange County on North Chickasaw Trail near the corner of Valencia College Lane. The branch is minutes away from several educational institutions (including elementary and middle schools and Valencia College) making it a popular spot for students of all ages. This library boasts several unique features including a pebble chime, modern architectural awnings and two outdoor decks where the community can relax and enjoy our great Florida weather. Opened on July 18, 2015, the Chickasaw Branch was funded by a Florida Library Construction Grant.
