Technology ClassroomCrochet a star granny square. Granny squares are the foundation of many blankets, bags and sweaters. Learn how to crochet in circles and then use increase stitches to make a star.
- Class Duration: 2 hours
- Age Requirements: 13-Adult, 11-12 with accompanying adult
- Recommended Prerequisite: Let's Crochet in the Round
- Required Skills: Someone who easily handles standard stitches and can follow simple patterns.
- Materials Fee: None
- Out of District Fee: $10 (includes class and materials fees)
Optional Materials: Materials are provided for this class. Students have the option to bring the following materials:
- At least 50 yards of size 5/bulky weight yarn preferably in a pastel color to see stitches. * If you do not have size 5 yarn, feel free to use size 4 and the recommended hook size for your yarn.
- Size L/11 (8mm) hook * If you do not have size 5 yarn, feel free to use size 4 and the recommended hook size for your yarn.

| Confident Beginner | Someone who easily handles standard stitches and can follow simple patterns. |

| Advanced | Someone who can adjust patterns to their own preferences, substitute yarn, and produce neat results consistently in flat, round, lace, and three-dimensional projects. |

Southwest Branch
Southwest Branch opened on March 21, 1989 in a beautiful Mediterranean style building designed by Schweizer and Associates Architecture Firm, who also designed the Orlando Public Library. Serving the Dr. Phillips and Metrowest communities, Southwest is near International Drive and the attractions. Southwest is a popular place for local adults, children, students and tourists.
