Crochet Amigurumi Stars (3-Parts)

Learn how to crochet an amigurumi star that's out of this world! Consider making this your first submission for this year's Yarnfiti Stitched Together Space Series. Skill level: Intermediate

This class is a series, held on Thursdays, April 10-24 at 10:30 a.m. May come back to keep creating more stars.

• Class Duration: 3 sessions, 1.5 hours
• Age Requirements: 13-Adult, 11-12 with accompanying adult
• Recommended Prerequisite: Crochet in the Round
• Required Skills: Someone who can follow most patterns with ease, is able to read stitches and charts, and to whom working in the round is no longer a challenge.
• Materials Fee: None
• Out of District Fee: [$10 dollars per part of part of class] (includes class and materials fees)

[Optional/Required] Materials: Students [may/must] bring the following materials to complete the project: 

• Pattern: Crochet Amigurumi Star Keychain
• Yarn(s): 4/medium weight yarn [you may choose a bigger or smaller yarn, if you would like bigger or smaller stars]
• Hook(s): Size H-8 (5 mm) [Or if you're using an thinner or thicker yarn, use the recommended hook size.
• Yarn/tapestry needle
• Scissors
• Stitch marker.

Yarnfiti is an annual community-created art installation that started in 2017 to bring the fiber arts community together on a collaborative art project.  Knitters, crocheters, hand sewists, machine sewists, embroiderers, and macramé artists/community members join forces to craft individual pieces that will be displayed together into a collective masterpiece. Each creation represents the unique contributions of community members and reflects their stories, experiences, and connections. The project fosters collaboration and unity as participants share their skills and ideas. This year's theme is Space. This month's project is amigurumi stars.
