Online Class: Embroider Mini Herbs

Confident Beginner Level

Learn how to work with a miniature hoop frame to turn a simple embroidery design into a cute keychain or pendant necklace.

• Class Duration: 1.5 hours
• Age Requirements: 13-Adult
• Recommended Prerequisite: Embroider Levels 1 & 2
• Required Skills: Ability to transfer a pattern, hoop fabric, thread a needle, execute basic embroidery stitches
• Materials Fee: None 
• Out of District Fee: $10 (includes class and materials fees) 

Suggested Materials: Students should have the following materials to complete the project*:

• 1.5-inch Mini Embroidery frame (like Yarnology Circle Wood Frames or Yarnology Oval Wood Frames)
• 3- or 4-inch Embroidery Hoop (for sewing - can be larger)
• 5-inch Cotton Fabric square (solid, light-colored, can have minimal/subdued pattern or texture)
• Embroidery Needle 
• Embroidery Floss (cacti colors, pot colors)
• Craft glue (optional)
• Clamps or clothespins (optional)
• Craft felt (optional)
• Metal Necklace Chain (like Beads Metal Necklace Chain - optional)
• Keychain (like Silver Key Rings - optional)
• Transfer pen or paper 
• Scissors
• Printed Handout - will be sent the week of class

*If you do not have the suggested materials, please use any materials you have on hand. At the start of class, please inform the instructor if you are using materials other than those suggested.

This is an online class hosted through Zoom. You will receive an email with a link to access Zoom before the event.  

A computer with access to the internet and speakers or headsets are required. A webcam and microphone are suggested to fully participate. Please note that Zoom allows you to share your video and audio with the group. If you choose to enable these settings, you are consenting to appear on audio and video. This event is not being recorded and we ask that out of courtesy to the other participants, please refrain from screen captures, photography or resharing information about the participants or the discussion outside of this event.

If using a mobile device, Android and iOS users must install the Zoom App (App Store | Play Store). However, please note interactivity may be limited.
