Hand Sewing – Embroidered Love Note (2 Part)

This Valentine’s Day, send an extra special love letter that is beautifully crafted from basic embroidery stitches. In this beginner-friendly series, students will use simple stitch techniques to make a handwritten love note on “lined notebook paper”. This is a 2-part series with classes on 02/05/2025 and 02/12/2025.
- Class Duration: 2 hours,
- Age Requirements: Adult, Teen
- Recommended Prerequisite: Hand Sewing – Embroidery Level 1 and Embroidery Level 2

Required Skills: Ability to cut with scissors.
Suggested Materials: Students can choose to bring the following materials to complete the project:
- 9” x 12” Felt Sheet - White
- Embroidery Needle - (in any size range from 1 through 5)
- Embroidery Floss or #8 Pearle Cotton Thread
- Light Blue
- Red
- Black
- Scissors
- Marking pen (Air erasable, water soluble, or Frixion pen)

The Dorothy Lumley Melrose Center for Technology, Innovation and Creativity is located on the second floor. The Friends of the Library Third Floor Bookstore is open daily and recycles withdrawn and donated books to the community.
