Chickasaw - LabCreate a fun crochet project. Learn the basics of Amigurumi while making an astronaut that's out of this world!
This class is a 4-part
- Class Duration: 4 parts, 1.5 hours per part
- Age Requirements: 13-Adult, 11-12 with accompanying adult

Recommended Prerequisite: Intermediate
- Required Skills: Someone who can follow most patterns with ease, is able to read stitches and charts, and to whom working in the round is no longer a challenge.
- Materials Fee: None
- Out of District Fee: [$10 dollars per part of part of class] (includes class and materials fees)
Required Materials: Students must bring the following materials to complete the project:
- Pattern: Ollie the Astronaut from MegMakesPatterns
Please Note: Students must bring a printed copy of the pattern or be able to access it on a mobile device. - Yarn: Size 4/medium weight yarn in 3-4 colors (colors for the main suit, helmet, belts and other details)
- Hook: Size H-8 (5 mm) [Please Note: if you are using larger or smaller weight yarn than mentioned, use the recommended hook size for your chosen yarn.]

Chickasaw Branch is the newest addition to Orange County Library System. It is located in east Orange County on North Chickasaw Trail near the corner of Valencia College Lane. The branch is minutes away from several educational institutions (including elementary and middle schools and Valencia College) making it a popular spot for students of all ages. This library boasts several unique features including a pebble chime, modern architectural awnings and two outdoor decks where the community can relax and enjoy our great Florida weather. Opened on July 18, 2015, Chickasaw Branch was funded by a Florida Library Construction Grant.
