Learn how to tie a heart knot to make a bracelet or necklace to share.

  • Class Duration: 1.5 hours
  • Age Requirements: 13-Adult
  • Recommended Prerequisite: None
  • Required Skills: Ability to measure with a ruler and cut with scissors, can tie basic knots like shoelaces
  • Materials Fee: None 
  • Out of District Fee: $10 (includes class and materials fees) 

Suggested Materials: Students should have the following materials to complete the project*:

  • At least 2 yards of jewelry cording - ie: shoelaces, parachute cord, suede cord, cotton cord, or nylon cord 
    • 2 different colors recommended
  • Scissors
  • Beads (optional)

About the branch

Southwest Branch opened on March 21, 1989 in a beautiful Mediterranean style building designed by Schweizer and Associates Architecture Firm, who also designed the Orlando Public Library. Serving the Dr. Phillips and Metrowest communities, Southwest is near International Drive and the attractions. Southwest is a popular place for local adults, children, students and tourists.
