Amigurumi Planets: Mercury

South Trail - Meeting Room 2Get in the spirit of Yarnfiti and learn the basics of amigurumi, including crocheting 3D shapes in the round and embroidering facial features. Create your very own Mercury!
- Class Duration: 1.5 hours
- Age Requirements: 13-Adult, 11-12 with accompanying adult
- Recommended Prerequisite: Let's Crochet in the Round
- Required Skills: Someone who easily handles standard stitches and can follow simple patterns.
- Materials Fee: None
- Out of District Fee: $10 (includes class and materials fees)
Required Materials: Students must bring the following materials to complete the project:
- Yarn: Size 4/medium weight yarn, as well as small amounts of black and pink yarn or cotton embroidery floss
- Hook: 2 sizes smaller than hook recommended on the yarn label
- Fiberfill or stuffing

South Trail Branch is located in the Orange Blossom Center, a shopping center next to numerous multi-family housing units. It is a welcoming and colorful library full of sunshine and a popular spot for children and families.
South Trail Branch began in 1965 as the Fort Gatlin Branch at 105 Gatlin Avenue and moved to the corner of Holden Avenue and South Orange Blossom Trail in 1981. The move across the street to the current site in the Orange Blossom Center took place in 1996.
