Learn about the protections against housing discrimination, what to do if you are the victim, and how this all affects the lending process.
Community Legal Services is on a mission to provide no-cost legal aid to the most vulnerable in our communities; we call it “Legal Access for All”. As a PILLAR in the community since 1966, our dedicated staff attorneys, paralegals, legal assistants, and advocates work diligently to solve civil legal problems that impact the day to day lives of Central Florida residents who cannot afford private attorney fees.
Join us on the 2nd Wednesday of every month at the Eatonville Branch Library as we provide the legal information you need to protect yourself and your family.
In this month’s workshop we will provide an overview of what housing discrimination is, what laws protect you, how to avoid taking part in housing discrimination, what to do if you are the victim, and how this all affects the lending process.

The Eatonville Branch is located in the Town of Eatonville’s Zora Neale Hurston Square. Eatonville is known as the oldest incorporated African American municipality in the United States. Opened January 2005, the Branch honors Eatonville resident Zora Neale Hurston (1891–1960), an accomplished and highly acclaimed author of stories, novels, and folklore.
The Eatonville Branch is dedicated to promoting reading, especially in children. The Branch serves residents that make up the four residential quadrants of Eatonville – Calhoun, Catalina Park, Eaton Pointe, and Lake Lovely Estates. The collection, programs, and services are also available to all Orange County residents including residents of the City of Maitland and Winter Park through reciprocal borrowing.
