Celebrate the wonder of the winter season with a softly glowing lantern created in the Makerspace using pieces cut with the Sillhouette Cameo 4.

Discover what you can make with the Sillhouette Cameo! In this one-hour class you will learn how to assemble your very own Winter themed lantern using cardstock, vellum and LED lights. Get your home or porch ready for luminary season! 

Session Duration: 1 hour
Age Requirements: All ages welcome, but children under 13 will likely require a caregiver's assistance to complete the project
Recommended Prerequisite: none
Required Skills: able to use scissors and adhesives, manual dexterity in building 3D geometric shapes

The Orlando Public Library is the headquarters and resource center for the Orange County Library System. The Library has been located at this site since its beginnings as the Albertson Public Library in 1923. Public Reference Departments in the Orlando Public Library include Children's, Library Central, and Learning Central. The Children's Library offers spacious areas, special programs, computers and story rooms for our youngest readers and readers to be. The Technology and Education Center is located on the second floor and includes the Dorothy Lumley Melrose Center for Technology, Innovation and Creativity. The Friends of the Library Third Floor Bookstore is open daily and recycles withdrawn and donated books to the community.
