Online Fiber Arts ClassroomThe gifting series is all about knitting gifts to give or accent gifts. The leaf ties are perfect for tying gifts and can be used as hair ties. Learn Judy's Magic Cast On and I-Cord.
Note: Basic Knitting skills are necessary to be successful in this class. New to knitting? Check out Let's Knit Level 1.
- Class Duration: This is an online class on Monday, October 28 from 10:30am-12:00pm.
- Age Requirements:18+
- Recommended Prerequisite: Let's Knit Increases and Decreases
- Recommended Skills: Someone who easily handles standard stitches and can follow simple patterns.
Required Materials: The instructor will email a link to the pattern and specific list of required materials to students prior to class.
- Tie Pattern
- 9yds of fingering weight yarn (size 1) yarn -for a larger leaf tie, feel free to substitute with another yarn between size 2-4.
- US Size 2 knitting needles dpn or circular-if substituting yarn to make a larger leaf tie, use the recommended needle size for your yarn
- knitting notions: stitch markers and scissors

| Confident Beginner | Someone who easily handles standard stitches and can follow simple patterns. |
| Intermediate | Someone who can follow most patterns with ease, is able to read stitches and charts, and to whom working in the round is no longer a challenge. |
| Advanced | Someone who can adjust patterns to their own preferences, substitute yarn, and produce neat results consistently in flat, round, lace, and three-dimensional projects. |
