Fiber Arts Studio - Second FloorTake the fashion world by storm! We will teach you everything you need to know to start sewing like a pro. Create a simple and easy tote bag perfect for shopping, the beach or running errands.
Learn to sew your own tote bag from start to finish using professional patterns, fabric of your choice and professional sewing machines in this 3-day class series.
- Class Duration: 3 Days, 2 Hours per day
- Age Requirements: Adult
- Recommended Prerequisite: Introduction to the Sewing Machine
- Required Skills: Students should be able to use a standard sewing machine and read patterns.
- Materials Fee: None
- Out of District Fee: $10 (includes class and materials fees)
We provide fabric for your first time taking this class/series. If you choose to come to this class/series more than one time, you will need to provide your own fabric.
(Project requires no less than 1 yard of woven fabric.)

Orlando Public Library is the headquarters and resource center for the Orange County Library System. The library has been located at this site since its beginnings as the Albertson Public Library in 1923. Public Reference Departments in Orlando Public Library include Children’s, Library Central, and Learning Central. The Children’s Library offers spacious areas, special programs, computers and story rooms for our youngest readers and readers to be. The Dorothy Lumley Melrose Center for Technology, Innovation and Creativity is located on the second floor. The Friends of the Library Third Floor Bookstore is open daily and recycles withdrawn and donated books to the community.
