Future Hero: Race to Fire Mountain - Session 1

Engage in a lively discussion and fun activities with Mayor Buddy's Book Club. There will be a Q&A with the series creator, Remi Blackwood (Jasmine Richards). Recommended for ages 8-12.

This is a Virtual Event hosted through Zoom. You will receive an email with a link to access the Zoom before the event from your event host and directions on how to join. 

A computer with access to the internet and speakers or headsets are required.

About the Author

Remi Blackwood is the pen name of series creator Jasmine Richards, and a team of young and upcoming writers, including Chiemeka Nicely and Isaac Hamilton-Mckenzie. Jasmine and the team are passionate about exploring mythologies from the African diaspora and giving every kid the opportunity to be the hero of the tale.

Jasmine Richards was born in London, grew up in a library, and was the first in her family to go to university. After graduating from Oxford, and following a brief stint at New Scotland Yard, Jasmine chose a career in publishing over being the next Sherlock Holmes. Today, she is the founder of Storymix, a children’s fiction development studio that creates inclusive stories and nurtures voices from under-represented backgrounds in children’s books. She is also the author of Keeper of Myths, Secrets of Valhalla, and The Book of Wonders. She lives in the Cotswolds region of England with her husband and two children.
