Learn to make leggings in the first of the Athleisure wear series. Comfortable leggings made to fit you are perfect for the gym, jogging or lounging. Students are required to bring fabric.

Learn to make leggings in our Athleisure wear series. Comfortable leggings made to fit you are perfect for the gym, jogging or lounging. 

  • Class Duration: 3 Days, 2.5 Hours per day
  • Age Requirements: Adult
  • Recommended Prerequisite: Introduction to the Serger and Threading a Serger
  • Required Skills: Students must be able to proficiently use a standard sewing machine, use a serger, adjust tension properly, read patterns and cut fabric. Students are required to wear closed-toe shoes to this series.
  • Materials Fee: None
  • Out of District Fee: $10 (includes class and materials fees)

We provide the pattern.

Students are required to bring materials:

  • 1 1/4 yards of fabric. (double the amount for fabric with a directional pattern)
  • FABRICS TYPES: Two or four-way stretch knit fabric.
  • 1 yard of 3/4" wide elastic.

Students must be able to proficiently use a standard sewing machine, use a serger, adjust tension properly, read patterns and cut fabric. Students are required to wear closed-toe shoes to this series.

Orlando Public Library is the headquarters and resource center for the Orange County Library System. The library has been located at this site since its beginnings as the Albertson Public Library in 1923. Public Reference Departments in Orlando Public Library include Children’s, Library Central, and Learning Central. The Children’s Library offers spacious areas, special programs, computers and story rooms for our youngest readers and readers to be. The Dorothy Lumley Melrose Center for Technology, Innovation and Creativity is located on the second floor. The Friends of the Library Third Floor Bookstore is open daily and recycles withdrawn and donated books to the community.
