This training for teens will teach you how to identify the signs of mental health conditions, cope with symptoms, and better support loved ones who are struggling. Registration required. Ages 13-18.
Learn about the warning signs of mental health conditions and what steps to take if you or a loved one are showing symptoms of a mental health condition. This presentation includes two leaders: one who shares an informative presentation and a young adult with a mental health condition who shares their journey of recovery. Attendees can ask questions and gain understanding of this often-misunderstood topic. Through dialogue, we can help grow the movement to end the stigma surrounding mental illness.
NAMI Greater Orlando is dedicated to helping improve the quality of life for individuals affected by mental illness through education, support, and advocacy. Learn more at namigo.org

LYNX Bus Link 104 East Colonial
The Alafaya Branch has a long history of providing library services to the East Orange County community. The branch originally opened in 1965 as the Azalea Park branch, situated on Lake Barton Road. From the 1970s through the 1990s the branch provided library services from shopping center locations. Ground was broken in January 1999 for a new branch, designed to be the prototype branch for future Orange County Library System branches. Opened on February 1, 2000, the Alafaya branch was funded by a Florida Library Construction Grant.
