Learn and advance your skills while knitting a mushroom fairy house for the Yarnfiti Enchanted Forest.

Skills we will practice include working with double pointed needles in the round, changing colors, increasing, decreasing.

This is a Yarnfiti project.  Yarnfiti is a community collaborated project.

Note: Basic Knitting skills are necessary to be successful in this class. New to knitting? Check out Let's Knit Level 1.

  • Class Duration: This is an  2-part online class on Mondays, July 15 and 22
  • Age Requirements:18+
  • Recommended Prerequisite: Let's Knit Increases and Decreases
  • Recommended Skills: Someone who easily handles standard stitches and can follow simple patterns.

Required Materials: The instructor will email a link to the pattern and specific list of required materials to students prior to class.

  • Scrap amounts of worsted weight yarn for the cap, gills, stem and accents.
  • A set of double pointe needles 2 sizes smaller than the recommended needle size for the yarn.
  • Small amount of stuffing
  • Scissors
  • Stitch markers

Level Description
Beginner Someone who grasps the most basic stitches and can finish simple patterns with aid.
Confident Beginner Someone who easily handles standard stitches and can follow simple patterns.
Intermediate Someone who can follow most patterns with ease, is able to read stitches and charts, and to whom working in the round is no longer a challenge.
Advanced Someone who can adjust patterns to their own preferences, substitute yarn, and produce neat results consistently in flat, round, lace, and three-dimensional projects.

This is a Virtual Event hosted through Zoom. Please provide your email at registration to participate. You will receive an email with a link to access the Zoom before the event from your event host. Zoom log-in information will be shared no later than one hour before start of event. A computer with access to the internet and speakers or headsets are required. A webcam and microphone are suggested to fully participate. If using a mobile device, Android and iOS users must install the Zoom App (App Store | Play Store). However, please note interactivity may be limited. Additional information will be included in the email from your event host. Recommended Audience: Adults
