Online Class: Embroider Mini Summer Magnets

Confident Beginner Level

Learn how to work with a button kit and magnets to turn a simple embroidery design into fun fridge flair!

• Class Duration:1.5 hours 
• Age Requirements: 13-Adult
• Recommended Prerequisite: Let's Embroider Level 2
• Required Skills: Ability to transfer a pattern, hoop fabric, thread a needle, execute basic embroidery stitches.
• Materials Fee: None 
• Out of District Fee: $10 (includes class and materials fees) 

Suggested Materials: Students should have the following materials to complete the project*:

• Printed Handout - to be sent the week of class
• 1-1/8" Cover Button Kit (like Dritz Cover Button Kit)
• 3/4" Button Magnets (like Pro-Mag Button Magnets)
• 3- or 4-inch Embroidery Hoop (for sewing)
• Embroidery Needle
• 5x5 inch Cotton Fabric
• Cotton Embroidery Floss 
• Strong craft glue (like E6000 Adhesive) - alternatives can be used as long as they are strong and stay adhered to the project
• Craft Pliers
• Scissors
• Transfer pen or paper

*If you do not have the suggested materials, please use any materials you have on hand. At the start of class, please inform the instructor if you are using materials other than those suggested.

This is an online class hosted through Zoom. You will receive an email with a link to access the Zoom room before the event.  

A computer with access to the internet and speakers or headsets are required. A webcam and microphone are suggested to fully participate. Please note that Zoom allows you to share your video and audio with the group. If you choose to enable these settings, you are consenting to appear on audio and video. This event is not being recorded and we ask that out of courtesy to the other participants, please refrain from screen captures, photography or resharing information about the participants or the discussion outside of this event.

If using a mobile device, Android and iOS users must install the Zoom App (App Store | Play Store). However, please note interactivity may be limited.
