Online Class: Embroider an Adventure Banner (2-Day)

Online Fiber Arts ClassroomCelebrate Summer At Your Library with this fun adventure banner to get in the spirit. Combine embroidery, applique, and more during this 2-day project.
- Class Duration: 2 days, 1.5 hours each day
- Age Requirements: 13-Adult
- Recommended Prerequisite: Let's Embroider Level 2
- Required Skills: Ability to transfer a pattern, hoop fabric, thread a needle, execute basic embroidery stitches.
- Materials Fee: None
- Out of District Fee: $10 (includes class and materials fees)
Suggested Materials: Students should have the following materials to complete the project*:
- Printed Handout - sent week of class
- 8" Embroidery Hoop (or larger)
- Cotton Embroidery Floss (green or teal, gold, grey or black for letters, additional colors for accent)
- Embroidery Needle
- Felt for applique (color of choice)
- Two Choices for Assembly:
- If Sewing with machine:
- 1 piece of fabric 15" by 40" or 2 fat quarters (cotton or canvas, solid color)
- Fusible Bonding Web (like Stitch Witchery, optional)
- Fabric Interfacing 15" x 12" (like Pellon Interfacing, optional
- If hand sewing:
- 1 felt sheet 18" x 12"
- Fabric Paint (optional)
- Fabric Glitter (optional)
- One 12" long wooden dowel (like Wooden Dowel Creatology)
- Cord for hanging (like Bolo Cord)
- Scissors
- Transfer pen or paper - If hand sewing on felt, recommended Print-Stitck-and-Stitch like Sulky Sticky Fabri-Solvy
*If you do not have the suggested materials, please use any materials you have on hand. At the start of class, please inform the instructor if you are using materials other than those suggested.

This is an online class hosted through Zoom. You will receive an email with a link to access the Zoom room before the event.
A computer with access to the internet and speakers or headsets are required. A webcam and microphone are suggested to fully participate. Please note that Zoom allows you to share your video and audio with the group. If you choose to enable these settings, you are consenting to appear on audio and video. This event is not being recorded and we ask that out of courtesy to the other participants, please refrain from screen captures, photography or resharing information about the participants or the discussion outside of this event.
