Create your own subtle (or not!) mug cozy to protect your hands from your iced coffee, lavender tea or your favorite beverage of choice!

  • Class Duration: 2
  • Age Requirements: 13 years old and up. All students will sign waivers. Those under 18 will need a trusted adult's signature.
  • Recommended Prerequisite: Introduction to Sewing Machine
  • Required Skills: Someone who can sew straight and curved seams while keeping a consistent seam allowance, can thread a standard machine and wind a bobbin, has a basic understanding of different fabric types and has completed several projects.

Recommended Materials: Students may bring the following materials to complete the project:

    • Recommended Fabrics: Cotton Blends. Limited supply will be available at the branch.
    • Additional notions: Buttons, hairband

Washington Park Branch serves the Carver Shores and Metrowest areas, along with the many other subdivisions and local businesses surrounding it. The Washington Park branch has a history that dates back to 1924. It is a combination of the former Booker T. Washington and Washington Shores Libraries. The two branches combined as one and opened in this current location on April 11, 1984. Although small, the glass walls on the front and back of the building create a bright, airy and comfortable atmosphere.
