Washington Park - Technology ClassroomLearn quilting techniques while crafting up pride flags. This project is scrap friendly!

Class Duration: 2 Hours
- Age Requirements: 13 years old and up. All students will sign a waiver, those under 18 will need a trusted adult's signature.

Recommended Prerequisite: Introduction to Sewing
- Required Skills: Someone who can sew straight and curved seams while keeping a consistent seam allowance, can thread a standard machine and wind a bobbin, has a basic understanding of different fabric types and has completed several projects.
Recommended Materials: Students may bring the following materials to complete the project (limited supplies will be available at branch)
- Recommended Fabrics: Cotton or cotton blends for colors wanted.
- Additional notions: Batting

Washington Park Branch serves the Carver Shores and Metrowest areas, along with the many other subdivisions and local businesses surrounding it. The Washington Park branch has a history that dates back to 1924. It is a combination of the former Booker T. Washington and Washington Shores Libraries. The two branches combined as one and opened in this current location on April 11, 1984. Although small, the glass walls on the front and back of the building create a bright, airy and comfortable atmosphere.
