Create mini gift toppers to decorate and gift. Learn and practice knitting techniques while creating a cute gift topper to accent your gifts.

Basic knitting skills are required to be successful in class.

      • Class Duration: 1 hour 45 minutes
      • Age Requirements: 18+
      • Recommended Prerequisite: None
      • Required Skills: Cast on, knit, bind off
      • Materials Fee: None

Materials (Instructor will email a a link to the pattern and finalized materials list prior to the class date). 

      • Yarn: Worsted weight yarn 

      • Needles A  set of  double pointed knitting needles  1 size smaller than the recommended needle size.

Level Description
Beginner Someone who grasps the most basic stitches and can finish simple patterns with aid.
Confident Beginner Someone who easily handles standard stitches and can follow simple patterns.
Intermediate Someone who can follow most patterns with ease, is able to read stitches and charts, and to whom working in the round is no longer a challenge.
Advanced Someone who can adjust patterns to their own preferences, substitute yarn, and produce neat results consistently in flat, round, lace, and three-dimensional projects.

About the branch

Southwest Branch opened on March 21, 1989 in a beautiful Mediterranean style building designed by Schweizer and Associates Architecture Firm, who also designed the Orlando Public Library. Serving the Dr. Phillips and Metrowest communities, Southwest is near International Drive and the attractions. Southwest is a popular place for local adults, children, students and tourists.
