Create a fun knitted project. Learn how to use knits and purls to create a fun cat design.

This class is a series, held on Tuesdays, September 11th - 18th at 2:30 PM - 3:45 PM.

  • Class Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes per segment
  • Age Requirements: 13-Adult, 11-12 with accompanying adult
  • Recommended Prerequisite: Let's Knit Level 2
  • Required Skills: Someone who grasps the most basic stitches and can finish simple patterns with aid.
  • Materials Fee: None
  • Out of District Fee: $10 dollars per part of part of class (includes class and materials fees)

Required Materials: Students must bring the following materials to complete the project:

  • Pattern: Halloween Cat Dishcloth by OneCraftyMama @ https://onecraftymama-2011.blogspot.com/2011/09/halloween-cat-dishcloth.html Please Note: Students must bring a printed copy of the pattern or be able to access it on a mobile device.
  • Pattern recommends 3.25 Needle and Size 4 Worsted Yarn. If you would like a larger project that may be easier to knit, size up. Limited amounts of chunky weight yarn and size 5.5 needles are available in class.

Note: Knitting skills are necessary to be successful in this class. New to knitting? Check out Let's Knit Level 1.

Washington Park Branch serves the Carver Shores and Metrowest areas, along with the many other subdivisions and local businesses surrounding it. The Washington Park branch has a history that dates back to 1924. It is a combination of the former Booker T. Washington and Washington Shores Libraries. The two branches combined as one and opened in this current location on April 11, 1984. Although small, the glass walls on the front and back of the building create a bright, airy and comfortable atmosphere.
