Ages: Adults 18 and up.

Rock the Wrap is an educational, interactive experience that provides step-by-step instruction of head wrap styling techniques. These skills will allow you to mix and match designs to create dozens of chic, fun head wrap styles. We will also touch on the history of Headwrapping and its spiritual, artistic, and practical significance to inspire you on this new journey.

This class is a live, in-person tutorial that will walk you through the steps needed to create each of the styles. A beautiful African headwrap fabric is included in this workshop.

Rikki Jean-Antoine is a licensed loctician and the owner of Loc Inspirations. Since becoming licensed in 2011, Rikki has been on a fulfilling mission of inspiring and empowering men and women to embrace their natural beauty. Optional: Headwrap Fabric measurements if you are choosing to bring your own headwrap:

Head wrap should be a cotton fabric, at least 70 inches long (approximately 2 yards) and 18 inches wide.  Jersey stretch and satin fabrics will not work as well, it must be cotton to achieve the looks during class.

Eatonville Branch is located in the Town of Eatonville’s Zora Neale Hurston Square. Eatonville is known as the oldest incorporated African American municipality in the United States. Opened January 2005, the branch honors Eatonville resident Zora Neale Hurston (1891–1960), an accomplished and highly acclaimed author of stories, novels, and folklore.

Eatonville Branch is dedicated to promoting reading, especially in children. The branch serves residents that make up the four residential quadrants of Eatonville – Calhoun, Catalina Park, Eaton Pointe, and Lake Lovely Estates. The collection, programs, and services are also available to all Orange County residents including residents of the City of Maitland and Winter Park through reciprocal borrowing.
