Master key concepts to help shape your sound with MIDI.
Pro Tools Level 3 is a class designed to give students a comprehensive understanding of MIDI in Pro Tools. The class begins with an overview of creating and working with MIDI tracks and routing them to instrument plug-ins. It then covers creating and working with instrument tracks, and viewing and editing MIDI information in the software. Students will have the opportunity to record their own MIDI performance and practice editing and quantizing the data. To conclude the class, students will be shown an advanced example of a project using MIDI, giving them inspiration and ideas for their own projects.
Required Skills: Ability to navigate within the Pro Tools and use common editing tools, such as the Smart and Zoom tools. Understanding of the physics of sound and digital audio theory, including sample rate and bit depth.
Recommended Prerequisites: Pro Tools Levels 1 and 2, Fundamentals of Sound for Audio Engineering

The Orlando Public Library is the headquarters and resource center for the Orange County Library System. The Library has been located at this site since its beginnings as the Albertson Public Library in 1923. Public Reference Departments in the Orlando Public Library include Children's, Library Central, and Learning Central. The Children's Library offers spacious areas, special programs, computers and story rooms for our youngest readers and readers to be. The Technology and Education Center is located on the second floor and includes the Dorothy Lumley Melrose Center for Technology, Innovation and Creativity. The Friends of the Library Third Floor Bookstore is open daily and recycles withdrawn and donated books to the community.
