Prior to booking Melrose Center Video Studio, users are required to successfully complete a hands-on task oriented assessment.
This is a two-part hands-on assessment for A.) Stage operation and B.) Control Room use. Video Studio access is granted with successful completion of assessment for Video Studio Stage operation and/or Control Room use. Registrant will demonstrate skills by completing tasks necessary to successfully record in the Melrose Center Video Studio.
Required Skills: Basic knowledge of Video Studio camera, audio and lighting equipment. For Control Room access, basic knowledge of ATEM Software Control and video switchers.
Recommended Prerequisites For Stage Operation: Video Studio Camera and Lens, Video Studio Lighting Techniques, Video Studio Audio and Data Management classes. For Control Room: Video Studio Control Room 1 and 2.
ASSESSMENT REGISTRATION REQUIREMENT: To register for this orientation and/or assessment, cardholders must attend the General Orientation for the Melrose Center, the Video Studio Orientation and must be at least 18 years of age. Children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult (18+ years of age).
You must be present at the scheduled start time to be admitted.

The Orlando Public Library is the headquarters and resource center for the Orange County Library System. The Library has been located at this site since its beginnings as the Albertson Public Library in 1923. Public Reference Departments in the Orlando Public Library include Children's, Library Central, and Learning Central. The Children's Library offers spacious areas, special programs, computers and story rooms for our youngest readers and readers to be. The Technology and Education Center is located on the second floor and includes the Dorothy Lumley Melrose Center for Technology, Innovation and Creativity. The Friends of the Library Third Floor Bookstore is open daily and recycles withdrawn and donated books to the community.
