Learn to create a safe sleep environment, the 5s technique to soothe babies, and how to avoid Shaken Baby Syndrome at this class presented in partnership with the Florida Department of Health.

Bellies, Babies and Beyond program is a Healthy Start initiative, provided by the Florida Department of Health Orange County, designed to work with women and their families before, during and after pregnancy, engaging pregnant women and continuing to serve the family until the baby’s second birthday. Families receive home visitation, case management, health education, perinatal depression screening, reproductive life planning, counseling and the opportunity to participate in male involvement workshops, among other activities, to ensure a healthy pregnancy, birth and developmental outcome.

About the branch

Southwest Branch opened on March 21, 1989 in a beautiful Mediterranean style building designed by Schweizer and Associates Architecture Firm, who also designed the Orlando Public Library. Serving the Dr. Phillips and Metrowest communities, Southwest is near International Drive and the attractions. Southwest is a popular place for local adults, children, students and tourists.
