Engage in a self-guided, outdoor reading experience. StoryWalk® is an educational opportunity that invites families to stroll along a book posted along a popular walking path in the community.
The StoryWalk® will be on display at the Windermere Branch. There is no registration for this event. All are welcome between the hours of 10:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. Storywalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.
Located in a small "Florida Cracker" style building, with an appealing wrap-around porch, the Windermere branch has an interesting history that spans over four decades. Begun as a town library, it became a branch of the Orange County Library System in August 1991. The current building was constructed through the efforts and the generous donations of many Windermere residents, including those of the Franklin P. Chase Family.
