Virtual Event: DIY Microphone Build
Monday, January 11
2:00pm - 3:30pm
See it come together in our live build! Melrose Audio and Fabrication Lab team up to demo ground up assembly of a microphone, with live Q&A. This class is taught by Melrose Center Instructors.
Join us for a start to finish build of a condenser microphone. Audio Instructor Jonathan C-O will discuss the basics of microphone dynamics while Fab Lab instructor Jennifer M. demonstrates the basics of circuit wiring and soldering while constructing a Alice Zenner Microphone. This is one of the most popular DIY microphones, and great for podcasting as well as outdoor events.
This event occurs online through Zoom. Please provide your email at registration to participate. A device with access to the internet and speakers or headsets are required. An email will be sent before the event with more information on how to join.
