BOOKS, MOVIES, & MORE Choose Your Own Book Club
Tuesday, December 15
4:30pm - 5:30pm
Share books you love and participate in fun book related activities. You choose the book. Ages 6-12.
Children will read books they choose at their own pace and participate in a special activity based on their book. Once they have completed their activity, they bring their project to our next monthly book club meeting where they will present it to the group and explain what they liked about the book and what they didn't. This exercise is intended to encourage reading in the child's own comfort zone, to build confidence, and to gain practice in public speaking skills.

About the branch
Southwest Branch opened on March 21, 1989 in a beautiful Mediterranean style building designed by Schweizer and Associates Architecture Firm, who also designed the Orlando Public Library. Serving the Dr. Phillips and Metrowest communities, Southwest is near International Drive and the attractions. Southwest is a popular place for local adults, children, students and tourists.
