Online Fiber Arts Classroom

Knit along with us! Knit Midori Hirose's versatile and popular Ranunculus Sweater pattern. The top-down yoke sweater is a perfect gift. Make one to give and one to keep.

Pre-requisite: Knitting skills are necessary to be successful in this class. Skills needed include pattern reading cast-on, knit, purl, knit in the round, and bind-off.

  • Class Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes on Mondays, September 21, October 5, 19, November 2, 16, 30, December 7 and 14.
  • Age Requirements: 18+
  • Recommended Prerequisite: Knit Levels 1 & 2, Knitting in the Round
  • Required Skills: Knit, purl, cast-on, knit in the round, bind-off
  • Materials Fee: None

Required Materials: Please visit the pattern website for material details.

  • Students must purchase and have available Midori Hirose's Ranunculus Pattern:  https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/ranunculus-3
  • 405 - 1029 yards of lace, fingering, or worsted weight yarn
  • US 10 circular needle as main needle and US 8 circular needle for hem ribbing and finishing sleeve
  • Stitch markers, scissors, crochet hook for waste yarn

Note: Knitting skills are necessary to be successful in this class. New to knitting? Check out Let's Knit Level 1.

Level Description
Beginner Someone who grasps the most basic stitches and can finish simple patterns with aid.
Confident Beginner Someone who easily handles standard stitches and can follow simple patterns.
Intermediate Someone who can follow most patterns with ease, is able to read stitches and charts, and to whom working in the round is no longer a challenge.
Advanced Someone who can adjust patterns to their own preferences, substitute yarn, and produce neat results consistently in flat, round, lace, and three-dimensional projects.

This is a Virtual Event hosted through Zoom. You will receive an email  with a link to access the Zoom before the event from your event host. Zoom log-in information will be shared no later than one hour before start of event.

A computer with access to the internet and speakers or headsets are required. A webcam and microphone are suggested to fully participate. 

If using a mobile device, Android and iOS users must install the Zoom App (App Store | Play Store). However, please note interactivity may be limited. Additional information will be included in the email from your event host.
