Beginner Level

Technology ClassroomLearn basic embroidery stitches while embellishing an old shirt's button stitches.
- Class Duration: 1.5 hour
- Age Requirements: 18+
- Recommended Prerequisite: Embroidery Level 1
- Required Skills: Thread a needle, make a knot, basic running stitch
- Materials Fee: None
Suggested Materials: Students should bring following materials to complete the project*:
- Please bring an old, unwanted button-down shirt to practice on. Avoid using valuable, sentimental, or wearable shirts, as this will be modified during class.
- Embroidery Needle
- Needle threader
- Cotton Embroidery Floss (up to 3 colors)
- Scissors
*If you do not have the suggested materials, please use any materials you have on hand. At the start of class, please inform the instructor if you are using materials other than those suggested.

Southwest Branch opened on March 21, 1989 in a beautiful Mediterranean style building designed by Schweizer and Associates Architecture Firm, who also designed the Orlando Public Library. Serving the Dr. Phillips and Metrowest communities, Southwest is near International Drive and the attractions. Southwest is a popular place for local adults, children, students and tourists.
