Embroidered Embellishments

Beginner Level

Learn basic embroidery stitches while embellishing an old shirt's button stitches.

• Class Duration: 1.5 hour
• Age Requirements: 18+
• Recommended Prerequisite: Embroidery Level 1
• Required Skills: Thread a needle, make a knot, basic running stitch
• Materials Fee: None 

Suggested Materials: Students should bring following materials to complete the project*:

• Please bring an old, unwanted button-down shirt to practice on. Avoid using valuable, sentimental, or wearable shirts, as this will be modified during class.
• Embroidery Needle
• Needle threader
• Cotton Embroidery Floss (up to 3 colors)
• Scissors

*If you do not have the suggested materials, please use any materials you have on hand. At the start of class, please inform the instructor if you are using materials other than those suggested.
