(RE)Frame: The Beauty of Orlando's Historic Black Communities is on exhibition at the Eatonville and Washington Park Branch Libraries through September 2026.
The photo exhibition reflects community, culture, and shared experiences in real time through the lens of 12 Orlando-Based photographers. Featured images include portraiture, street photography, and the rich landscape of historically Black communities, such as Eatonville, Parramore, Washington Shores, Goldsboro, and more.
(RE)frame is a dynamic photography platform for Central Florida Lens-Based Artists, powering photography exhibitions, workshops, and programming. Our mission is to foster a deeper understanding of photography as a vital medium for artistic expression, cultural storytelling, and social dialogue, empowering artists and inspiring communities.

Washington Park Branch serves the Carver Shores and Metrowest areas, along with the many other subdivisions and local businesses surrounding it. The Washington Park branch has a history that dates back to 1924. It is a combination of the former Booker T. Washington and Washington Shores Libraries. The two branches combined as one and opened in this current location on April 11, 1984. Although small, the glass walls on the front and back of the building create a bright, airy and comfortable atmosphere.
