Online Fiber Arts ClassroomBasic hand sewing skills are essential skills needed in everyday life. Learn the basic techniques to get started, including how to make a quilter's knot, thread a needle and sew a running stitch.
Required Materials:
Students must have the required materials to practice the class activity
- 1 piece of solid color scrap fabric approximately 5"x5"
- Hand sewing needle with an eye that will fit the thread
- scrap amount of 12wt thread , pearl cotton, sashiko thread, or 4 strands of embroidery floss held together
- scissors
- needle threader
- pencil
- ruler
- Class Duration: 1.25 hours
- Age Requirements: 13-Adult
