Pressed Floral Art Workshop
Summer at Your Library
Saturday, June 13
3:00pm - 4:00pm
Prepare to be inspired and create your own pressed floral art, set inside a floating frame with Designer Pamela Johancsik of Bomb Blooms. Recommended for ages 13-18.
In this workshop, Designer Pamela of Bomb Blooms teaches the foundations of flower and leaf pressing to capture beautifully dried botanicals.
She will share tips for creating finished works of art with bundled composition and style, set inside a floating frame.
Flower pressing is an age-old art that at its heart can become a memory-keeping craft to time capsule important events such as graduations, recitals, engagements, anniversaries, weddings, baby showers and even funerals.
With your newly acquired skill, you can preserve florals from an abundant garden harvest or press leaves after a day frolicking through a beautiful meadow of bountiful wildflowers.
Pressed florals make lovely, framed art or special gifts for family and friends.

Fairview Shores Branch
Link 43 Winter Park | Pine Hills
The Fairview Shores Branch is located on Lee Road near I-4. Fairview Shores is situated to serve a wide community including College Park, Lockhart, Fairview Shores and Rosemont.
The Fairview Shores Branch first opened its doors in 1950 as the College Park Branch at 703 Smith Street. The branch moved several times over the next four decades. In 1997, the branch opened as the Edgewater Branch at its last home at 5049 Edgewater Drive in the Northgate Plaza. This location served the neighboring communities for approximately 22 years and is now expanding its reaches to the wider surrounding communities as it transforms to the new Fairview Shores Branch.
The new Fairview Shores Branch, located in the heart of the Adanson Marketplace, opened on June 3, 2019. The new location benefits from the bustle of activities with a pull from anchor stores in the shopping center.
