It’s Not Voice, It’s Point of View
Monday, September 21

Virtual Room - EPDJanice Hardy will discuss why many voice problems are actually point-of-view problems, and how strengthening one naturally strengthens the other. Learn how a character's perspective shapes their voice
Many writers struggle to create compelling character voices, rewriting the same lines over and over—but every character still sounds the same. They're polishing the words when they should be looking at the character behind those words. In this workshop, you'll discover why so many voice problems are actually point-of-view problems in disguise, and how strengthening one naturally strengthens the other. You'll learn how a character's perspective shapes and creates their voice, how what they notice (and ignore) reveals who they are, and how to make every character sound unique.
