Dodge and burn is all about controlling light and shadow to add depth, dimension, and polish—without overdoing it or making your photos look unnatural. In this detailed, hands-on class, you’ll learn how to properly lighten and darken areas of an image, work non-destructively in Photoshop, and build a clean, professional workflow. We’ll cover practical tools, brush control, and real-world examples, along with common mistakes to avoid so your edits don’t get burned by heavy-handed retouching.
This class is ideal for beginner to intermediate photographers and creatives who want their images to look more refined and intentional. This is an online class hosted through Zoom. Please provide your email at registration to participate. You will receive an email with a link to access the Zoom before the event from your event host. You can also view and join virtual events through attend.ocls.info/myevents.
A computer with access to the internet and speakers or headsets are required. A webcam and microphone are suggested to fully participate. Please note that Zoom allows you to share your video and audio with the group. If you choose to enable these settings, you are consenting to appear on audio and video.
