Knit a stocking! The perfect pattern for the holidays, make the perfect holiday gift for yourself or for someone else.
- Class Duration: 2 hours. This is a three part series, meeting on December 1st, 8th, and 15th, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
- Age Requirements: Adult
- Recommended Prerequisite: Knit Level 1
- Required Skills: Someone who grasps the most basic stitches and can finish simple patterns with aid.
- Materials Fee: None
- Out of District Fee: $10 (includes class and materials fees)
Required Materials: Students must bring the following materials to complete the project:
- Pattern: Please Note: Students must bring a printed copy of the pattern or be able to access it on a mobile device. Free downloadable PDF pattern.
- Yarn: 200 yards of super bulky weight yarn in any color preference

Needles:
US Size 10.5 (6.5 mm) 16” circular needles and US Size 10.5 (6.5mm) dpns (double pointed needles, 1 set=4 needles)
Cable needle, tapestry needle, stitch markers
Note: Knitting skills are necessary to be successful in this class. New to knitting? Check out Knit Level 1.

| Intermediate | Someone who can follow most patterns with ease, is able to read stitches and charts, and to whom working in the round is no longer a challenge. |
| Advanced | Someone who can adjust patterns to their own preferences, substitute yarn, and produce neat results consistently in flat, round, lace, and three-dimensional projects. |

About the branch
Located in a small “Florida Cracker” style building, with an appealing wrap-around porch, the Windermere branch has an interesting history that spans over four decades. Begun as a town library, it became a branch of the Orange County Library System in August 1991. The current building was constructed through the efforts and the generous donations of many Windermere residents, including those of the Franklin P. Chase Family.
