Visitors this winter! Buckets hats are a Florida must. Crochet a fun, modern bucket hat for almost anyone, focusing on a variety techniques from granny squares to crocheting in the round, patchwork, seaming, and more.
This class is a series, held on Fridays, October 10, 24, and November 21 at 10:15 am. **This hat could be completed by the end of the second session; A third session is included if needed or just to be used as an open lab.**
Materials: Students should bring the following materials to complete the project:

| Beginner | Someone who grasps the most basic stitches and can finish simple patterns with aid. |
| Confident Beginner | Someone who easily handles standard stitches and can follow simple patterns. |
| Intermediate | Someone who can follow most patterns with ease, is able to read stitches and charts, and to whom working in the round is no longer a challenge. |
| Advanced | Someone who can adjust patterns to their own preferences, substitute yarn, and produce neat results consistently in flat, round, lace, and three-dimensional projects. |

Built in 2005, Winter Garden branch sits at the westernmost part of Orange County. This was the last branch opened before the Great Recession of 2008. Interestingly, this is the only branch in the county built on donated land. Two acres were donated by the family of former citrus grove owner, Sylvester C. Battaglia. S.C. Battaglia’s philosophy, as stated by his son, was to “give back to the community.” The branch’s formal name S.C. Battaglia Memorial Branch, honors his contribution.
Winter Garden Branch has all the charm of a small town library plus all of the resources available through Orange County Library System. Noted for friendly and helpful staff, the branch is now serving a third generation of patrons.
