Knitting: Lovely Stocking (Gifting Series) (6-Part)

Online Fiber Arts ClassroomIt's never too early to start preparing knitted gifts. Knit cuff down and shaped with wrap and turn short rows, this diamond patterned stocking will be a classic for years to come.
Pre-requisite: Knitting skills are necessary to be successful in this class. Skills needed include cast-on, knit, purl, knit in the round, and bind-off.

Class Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes on Mondays October 6, 20, 27, November 10, December 1 & 15.

- Materials Fee: None
Required Materials: Students must bring the following materials to complete the project:
- Pattern: Pattern by Knit Picks https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/simply-lovely-stocking
- 184-284 yards of Bulky Yarn (yardage varies depending on the size of the stocking)
- Size 9 and Size 7 Set of Double Pointed Needles or dpns two sizes smaller than the recommended needle size for your yarn ; feel free to use long circular needles if you will use Magic Loop to work in the round.
- Knitting notions: scissors, pencil, stitch marker

| Confident Beginner | Someone who easily handles standard stitches and can follow simple patterns. |
| Intermediate | Someone who can follow most patterns with ease, is able to read stitches and charts, and to whom working in the round is no longer a challenge. |
| Advanced | Someone who can adjust patterns to their own preferences, substitute yarn, and produce neat results consistently in flat, round, lace, and three-dimensional projects. |
This is a Virtual Event hosted through Zoom. You will receive an email with a link to access the Zoom before the event from your event host. Zoom log-in information will be shared no later than one hour before start of event.
A computer with access to the internet and speakers or headsets are required. A webcam and microphone are suggested to fully participate.
If using a mobile device, Android and iOS users must install the Zoom App (App Store | Play Store). However, please note interactivity may be limited. Additional information will be included in the email from your event host.
