Winter Garden - Technology Lab

Plan ahead with thoughtful handmade gifts. Practice working in the round to create face scrubbies, a bag, and a mini basket. Perfect for gift-giving while mastering fun & practical crochet techniques.

This class is a series, held on Fridays, July 18th and August 1 at 10:15 am.

  • Class Duration: 2 parts, 2 hours per part
  • Age Requirements: Adult
  • Recommended Prerequisite: Let's Crochet in the Round
  • Required Skills: Someone who easily handles standard stitches and can follow simple patterns.

Materials: Students should bring the following materials to complete the project:

  • Yarn: Worsted Weight (#4) Cotton yarn or a light worsted (#3) cotton can also be used
    Approximately 0.22 oz (6.2 g), 14 yds (13 m) for each scrubbie and 0.28 oz (8 gr), 13.5 yds (12 m) for the bag.
  • Hook: G/6 or 4 mm hook

Note: Crochet skills are necessary to be successful in this class. New to crochet? Check out Crochet Level 1.

Level Description
Beginner Someone who grasps the most basic stitches and can finish simple patterns with aid.
Confident Beginner Someone who easily handles standard stitches and can follow simple patterns.
Intermediate Someone who can follow most patterns with ease, is able to read stitches and charts, and to whom working in the round is no longer a challenge.
Advanced Someone who can adjust patterns to their own preferences, substitute yarn, and produce neat results consistently in flat, round, lace, and three-dimensional projects.
