Get started with the basics, and plenty of practice! We'll learn the long-tail cast on, the knit & purl stitches, ribbing as well as bind-off and finishing techniques. We will use The Wheat Scarf by Tin Can Knits which has plenty of garter and ribbing to allow new knitters to build and reinforce skills.
**Practice yarn and needles will be provided during the 1st class** **Required Materials: After 1st session, students must bring the following materials to complete the project:

Advanced | Someone who can adjust patterns to their own preferences, substitute yarn, and produce neat results consistently in flat, round, lace, and three-dimensional projects. |
