Makerspace - Second FloorBring your design to reality with the xTool P2 Laser Cutter and the xTool F1: Laser Engraver at the Makerspace. Learn machine operations, safety precautions, and how to gain access to these machines.
See your project come together with just a few steps with the xTool P2 55W Desktop CO2 Laser Cutter and the xTool F1:Portable Laser Engraver. Learn machine layout and operations, proper settings and safety precautions, and how to gain access to these machines. Completing this class is your first step to access the xTool machines in the Makerspace during our Open Lab hours.
- Class Duration: 2 hours
- Age Requirements: Adult 18+
- Recommended Prerequisite: 2D Design Software skills in a program such as Adobe Illustrator, Inkscape or Affinity (check out on demand courses in LinkedIn Learning, free with your library card!)

Orlando Public Library is the headquarters and resource center for the Orange County Library System. The library has been located at this site since its beginnings as the Albertson Public Library in 1923. Public Reference Departments in Orlando Public Library include Children’s, Library Central, and Learning Central. The Children’s Library offers spacious areas, special programs, computers and story rooms for our youngest readers and readers to be. The Dorothy Lumley Melrose Center for Technology, Innovation and Creativity is located on the second floor. The Friends of the Library Third Floor Bookstore is open daily and recycles withdrawn and donated books to the community.
