Welcome spring with this cheerful flower decoration that combines crochet skills, beading, and starching your work! We will be learning how to starch crochet work during this class.

  • Class Duration: 1 hour and 30 minutes
  • Age Requirements: Adult 18+
  • Recommended Prerequisite: Crochet In the Round
  • Required Skills: Someone who can adjust patterns to their own preferences, substitute yarn, and produce neat results consistently in flat, round, lace, and three-dimensional projects.
  • Materials Fee: None
  • Out of District Fee: [$10 dollars per part of part of class] (includes class and materials fees)

Required Materials: Students will need the following materials to complete the project: 

  • Pattern: Attic24: Happy Flower Decoration Please Note: Students must bring a printed copy of the pattern or be able to access it on a mobile device.
  • Yarns: Size 4 Medium Yarn (DK) in many colors, Cotton Recommended, about 100 yards of each color
  • Hook: 4.0mm
  • Tapestry Needle
  • Stitch Markers
  • Craft Glue
  • Beads, buttons, sequins, or any other desired embellishments
  • Stiff bristle brush (like a children's paint brush)

Level Description
Beginner Someone who grasps the most basic stitches and can finish simple patterns with aid.
Confident Beginner Someone who easily handles standard stitches and can follow simple patterns.
Intermediate Someone who can follow most patterns with ease, is able to read stitches and charts, and to whom working in the round is no longer a challenge.
Advanced Someone who can adjust patterns to their own preferences, substitute yarn, and produce neat results consistently in flat, round, lace, and three-dimensional projects.
