Create a fun crochet project. Learn how to crochet a magic circle and treble crochet stitch while stitching a simple pillow.

This class is a 2-Parts series, held on Tuesday, April 1 & 15 at 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

  • Class Duration: 2 parts, 1.5 hours per part
  • Age Requirements: Adult
  • Recommended Prerequisite: Crochet Level 2 and Crochet In the Round
  • Required Skills: Someone who easily handles standard stitches and can follow simple patterns.
  • Materials Fee: None
  • Out of District Fee: [$10 dollars per part of part of class] (includes class and materials fees)

Required Materials: Students must bring the following materials to complete the project: 

  • Pattern: Striped Rounds Crochet Pillow from Yarnspirations.com
  • Yarn(s): Recommended 4/medium weight yarn but feel free to bring size 4 medium yarn leftover you may have. In total you will need 843 yds (771m) of yarn
  • Hook(s): Recommended hook size H/8 (5 mm)

Level Description
Beginner Someone who grasps the most basic stitches and can finish simple patterns with aid.
Confident Beginner Someone who easily handles standard stitches and can follow simple patterns.
Intermediate Someone who can follow most patterns with ease, is able to read stitches and charts, and to whom working in the round is no longer a challenge.
Advanced Someone who can adjust patterns to their own preferences, substitute yarn, and produce neat results consistently in flat, round, lace, and three-dimensional projects.

About the branch

LYNX Bus Link 41 State Road 436

North Orange Branch began as a bookmobile station in 1950, and was replaced by a branch in 1964. Moving to the Palm Plaza Shopping Center in 1969, the branch occupied a 3500 square foot space there for twenty years. In 1989 the branch moved to its present 12,000 square foot facility. As the name implies, North Orange Branch serves the areas of Apopka, Plymouth, Zellwood, Tangerine, and environs.
