The classic knit jacket with an i-cord edge never goes out of style. Class will meet twice a month to stay on pace. Techniques include short rows shaping, i-cord edge, picking up and knit, and more.

Note: Basic Knitting skills are necessary to be successful in this class. New to knitting? Check out Let's Knit Level 1.

  • Class Duration: This is an  18-part online class meeting twice a month beginning January 13 to August 25th. January 13tth's class will discuss gauge, materials and pattern specifics. Video recordings of new techniques learned in class will be shared with students.
  • Age Requirements:18+
  • Recommended Prerequisite: Let's Knit Increases and Decreases, Knitting in the Round
  • Recommended Skills: Someone who easily handles standard stitches and can follow simple patterns.

Required Materials: The instructor will email a link to the pattern and specific list of required materials to students prior to class.

  • Pattern
  • 600-1200 grams of super bulky yarn.  See pattern for the amount of yarn needed for various sizes.  
  • US 15 (10 mm), 32-inch circular needles for the body
  • US 15, 16-inch circular needles for the sleeves
  • A set of US 15 double pointed needles for the sleeves
  • Stitch markers
  • Stitch holders or scrap yarn
  • knitting notions: stitch markers and scissors

Level Description
Beginner Someone who grasps the most basic stitches and can finish simple patterns with aid.
Confident Beginner Someone who easily handles standard stitches and can follow simple patterns.
Intermediate Someone who can follow most patterns with ease, is able to read stitches and charts, and to whom working in the round is no longer a challenge.
Advanced Someone who can adjust patterns to their own preferences, substitute yarn, and produce neat results consistently in flat, round, lace, and three-dimensional projects.

This is a Virtual Event hosted through Zoom. Please provide your email at registration to participate. You will receive an email with a link to access the Zoom before the event from your event host. Zoom log-in information will be shared no later than one hour before start of event. A computer with access to the internet and speakers or headsets are required. A webcam and microphone are suggested to fully participate. If using a mobile device, Android and iOS users must install the Zoom App (App Store | Play Store). However, please note interactivity may be limited. Additional information will be included in the email from your event host. Recommended Audience: Adults
