Join us for a fun & festive knit-a-long (KAL). We'll learn the basics of knitting socks by knitting a holiday stocking and create a treasured keepsake by choosing your own design!

Join our Winter Garden Knitting Circle for a festive stocking KAL and see what the allure is about knitting socks. We'll start with the same pattern then mix it up with the color work patterns of your choice.  Our meet-ups will be for talking about our choices, sorting out errors, helpful tips and tricks, and an excellent time to learn from one another, share what you know and create a beautiful custom stocking (or two) for the holidays!

About the branch

Built in 2005, Winter Garden branch sits at the westernmost part of Orange County. This was the last branch opened before the Great Recession of 2008. Interestingly, this is the only branch in the county built on donated land. Two acres were donated by the family of former citrus grove owner, Sylvester C. Battaglia. S.C. Battaglia’s philosophy, as stated by his son, was to “give back to the community.” The branch’s formal name S.C. Battaglia Memorial Branch, honors his contribution.

Winter Garden Branch has all the charm of a small town library plus all of the resources available through Orange County Library System. Noted for friendly and helpful staff, the branch is now serving a third generation of patrons.
