South Trail - Meeting Room 2Crochet a classic granny square. Granny squares are the foundation of many blankets, bags and sweaters. Learn how to crochet in circles and then use increase stitches to make a square.
- Class Duration: 2 hours
- Age Requirements: 13-Adult, 11-12 with accompanying adult
- Recommended Prerequisite: Let's Crochet in the Round
- Required Skills: Someone who easily handles standard stitches and can follow simple patterns.
- Materials Fee: None
- Out of District Fee: $10 (includes class and materials fees)
Optional Materials: Materials are provided for this class. Students have the option to bring the following materials:
- At least 50 yards of size 5/bulky weight yarn preferably in a pastel color to see stitches
- Size L/11 (8mm) hook

South Trail Branch is located in the Orange Blossom Center, a shopping center next to numerous multi-family housing units. It is a welcoming and colorful library full of sunshine and a popular spot for children and families.
South Trail Branch began in 1965 as the Fort Gatlin Branch at 105 Gatlin Avenue and moved to the corner of Holden Avenue and South Orange Blossom Trail in 1981. The move across the street to the current site in the Orange Blossom Center took place in 1996.
