Online Fiber Arts Classroom

Your socks are trying to tell you something - “replace me!”. Looms are a quick and fun way to create something fun, goofy, warm, or downright pretty that you'll love to keep or gift.

    This is a Virtual Event hosted through Zoom. You will receive an email with a link to access the Zoom before the event from your event host.  

    A computer with access to the internet and speakers or headsets are required. A webcam and microphone are suggested to fully participate.  

    If using a mobile device, Android and iOS users must install the Zoom App (App Store | Play Store). However, please note interactivity may be limited. Additional information will be included in the email from your event host.  

    • Class Duration: 2 parts, 1.5 hours each part
    • Age Requirements: 13-Adult
    • Required Skills: Student must know how to use a loom comfortably, use the e-wrap stitch and the u-knit stitch, cast on and bind off.
    • Materials Fee: None

    Required Materials: Students should have the following materials to complete the project*: 

    • Download Pattern: [hyperlink]
    • Yarn: 180 yards of worsted weight yarn (size 4), divided into two balls. You need two small skeins to pull two strands as one.  Learn how to read yarn labels for weight/size.
    • Loom: 24 peg loom no exceptions; 5/8 inch gauge.
    • Notions: Loom pick, tapestry needle
    • Pattern: Handout will be emailed to all participants the week of the class.
