The average American produces 4.5 pounds of garbage per day, and the Orange County Landfill has 15 years left of disposal capacity. Learn more about how the solid waste & recycling system works, and ways to do your part to live in a less-wasteful society. Charlie Pioli, founder of O-Town Compost, spent the first part of his career in solid waste consulting where he witnessed our country's waste infrastructure firsthand. Please join him as he pulls back the veil to reveal how waste is managed nationally and locally, and how to think about plastic, single-stream recycling, and the direction we need to move towards to be more sustainable.
