Fiber artists, share in the magic of making as we create an enchanted forest of handcrafted art. Take this time to finish your Yarnfiti sewing projects. Machine sewing skills are required.
Come and sew at the Chickasaw Branch Library and bring your sewing projects. Bring your ongoing project or use one of our basic patterns to create a fun sewing project for Yarnfiti. All the tools are here to create your projects. Participants must bring all of the fabric, patterns, thread and notions (e.g. interfacing, zippers, etc.) needed for the project.
Yarnfiti is an annual community-created art installation. This year, in addition to knitting and crochet, contributors are invited to submit projects from a variety of crafts including, sewing, embroidery, weaving and more! Classes and meetups will be available to help collaborate on pieces from suggested patterns. Contributors are also encouraged to submit creations of their own design.
